Review by Pete Prebus

The new Aventon Level 28 mph eCommuter bike has arrived for testing and review! The Level is one of the latest eBikes from Aventon bikes in Ontario and it has a lot of features generally found in more expensive eBikes. This Class 3 eBike features pedal assist up to 28 mph and a thumb throttle providing assist to 20 mph. Spec highlights include a 500 watt (750 watt peak) geared rear hub motor, an internal frame battery (48V 14Ah 672Wh), hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano Acera drivetrain, and a range of quality accessories. The $1,599 price includes free shipping to 48 US states.

The Level is our flagship commuter ebike, stylish silently with both levels of endurance and a ride-ability you can trust day in day out. The front suspension fork provides ultimate comfort whilst riding across any surface and the incorporated fenders protect you and your outfit no matter what the conditions are like outside. A preinstalled rack ensures that no matter how much gear you have, you can take it all with you on your Level Commuter ebike. The beauty of this great combination of accessories is that this ebike is as well suited to transporting all the items for an offsite meeting as it is to transporting all the goodies for a family picnic in the park!

Our most powerful, most versatile ebike just became more accessible! With the addition of a step-through this version of the Aventure just became the best ebike out there! 4" fat tires and front suspension ensure that you'll be comfortable whether you choose the pavement or the trail, whilst the 80mm of travel in the front suspension means you'll absorb all the bumps in your path.

Boastfully equipped with a powerful 1130W (peak) motor and 720Wh battery, means that the Aventure can go further than any of our ebikes before. While the Aventure ships as a class II ebike, it can be configured into a class III with speeds. Integrated in fenders mean that you'll feel safe and stay clean even in the worst conditions. Last, but certainly not least, the Aventure Step-Through comes equipped with our new color display, which syncs to the Aventon app allowing you to store your rides and share them with your friends and the Aventon family!

Bicycles are often referred to as the most perfect machine ever invented, and that may be why the bicycle has been such a successful product throughout the entire world for almost 150 years.

For at least 100 years, inventors have been trying to improve on the bicycle by attaching motors. Mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles all have their fans. But the bicycle has remained the best seller. That seems to be changing in the 21st century. All over the world, two-wheel vehicles are thriving with various kinds of motors. The advantages are obvious. You can go further, faster, and arrive at your destination fresh and ready to work or play.

The disadvantage, of course, is the lost benefit of exercise that contributes to health and well-being.

Now we are seeing the emergence of the perfect hybrid. A bicycle fully capable of being used without any battery/motor assist which can, at the flip of a switch, provide full motor power to the wheels, and no human power needed.

Throughout Europe and Asia, eBikes are already the trend. In the US, more and more folks are becoming aware of how much fun it is to go electric, and how much more versatile an electric bike can be.

Aventon bikes in Ontario are leaders in selling practical, economical eBikes to those ready to give pedal assist a try. But Aventon bikes can also go full-throttle or no assist at all. So, you get three kinds of bikes in one. Maybe you want to start out the ride under your own power. Later, you are up against a hill you’d normally need to walk. Add the assist and you go up and over easily. On the way home, you start to feel that you’re all worn out. Kick the Aventon into throttle mode and put your feet up (not literally, please.)

Come in anytime for a free test ride of any of our traditional bikes or eBikes.
