Bicycles are often referred to as the most perfect machine ever invented, and that may be why the bicycle has been such a successful product throughout the entire world for almost 150 years.
For at least 100 years, inventors have been trying to improve on the bicycle by attaching motors. Mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles all have their fans. But the bicycle has remained the best seller. That seems to be changing in the 21st century. All over the world, two-wheel vehicles are thriving with various kinds of motors. The advantages are obvious. You can go further, faster, and arrive at your destination fresh and ready to work or play.
The disadvantage, of course, is the lost benefit of exercise that contributes to health and well-being.
Now we are seeing the emergence of the perfect hybrid. A bicycle fully capable of being used without any battery/motor assist which can, at the flip of a switch, provide full motor power to the wheels, and no human power needed.
Throughout Europe and Asia, eBikes are already the trend. In the US, more and more folks are becoming aware of how much fun it is to go electric, and how much more versatile an electric bike can be.
Aventon is a leader in selling practical, economical eBikes to those ready to give pedal assist a try. But Aventon bikes can also go full-throttle or no assist at all. So, you get three kinds of bikes in one. Maybe you want to start out the ride under your own power. Later, you are up against a hill you’d normally need to walk. Add the assist and you go up and over easily. On the way home, you start to feel that you’re all worn out. Kick the Aventon into throttle mode and put your feet up (not literally, please.)
Come in anytime for a free test ride of any of our traditional bikes or eBikes.
